“You deserve to experience all the complexities in life at home within yourself and your community. Let’s build the foundation together.”

Ro’s Specialties:

  • LGBTQ+ people: As a queer therapist specializing in care for LGBTQ+ people, I affirm all queer and trans people and honor intersectionality. Self-discovery is nonlinear and rife with challenges. Your story has triumph, suffering, and mundanity alike, and I am here for all of it. My goal is to empower you to live the life you envision for yourself.

  • Deconstruction: With an existential theoretical orientation, I welcome the seemingly endless string of “why”s in life. I treasure your questioning of the stories you’ve been told, and I would be honored to sit in the shadowy places with you. While we face the unknowns together, my intent is to protect your journey by helping you to navigate spirals and build practical resilience strategies for your life.

  • Self-acceptance: By seeking therapy, I see that you are already powerful as someone earnestly pursuing growth. I will provide you with the safe, supportive space you need to be messy and flawed, to have the wrong answer or no answer at all. By moving toward a practice of self-acceptance, my goal is to help you to thrive in your authenticity and to strengthen the love you have to give to others and to yourself.

  • Anxiety: Amid daily adversity and uncertainty, anxiety is a natural response. No emotion is a “bad” emotion. As we honor the way your anxiety seeks to protect you, we can also honor the other feelings within you that guide your life. Together, we can tend to your pain as well as your hope to enrich your experience of your own life.

Let’s go there. As LGBTQ+ people, our lives are full of nuance. Without maps and routes made with you in mind, you have likely taken creative paths to self-discovery, fulfillment, and community already.

While your journey is powerful and beautiful, it’s no wonder that it can be incredibly challenging. I am here to share in those dynamic experiences alongside you.

Informed by a liberation-based postmodern framework, I embrace your personal point of view and your cultural context. As a relational therapist, I will work to provide a secure base for you to endeavor toward the changes you want to make in your life and in the world.

My specialties include anxiety, gender identity, sexuality, relationship navigation, attachment, harm reduction, and religious trauma. I strongly affirm and am well-informed about queer and trans identities, neurodiversity, racialized & multiracial identities, consensual non-monogamy, kink & BDSM, and body neutrality & positivity.

Reach out to the Fleurish email (under my contact information) for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to see if we would make a good fit. I look forward to getting to know you!
